Curwen Press is actively building up an archive covering, letters, books and prints of artists who worked at Curwen. We are particular interested in acquiring examples by important figures such as Henry Moore, Paula Rego, Edward Bawden, Dame Elizabeth Blackadder, Stephen Conroy, Mary Fedden, Dame Elizabeth Frink, R.B.Kitaj, Josef Herman, Celia Paul,  Michael Rothenstein, William Scott, Graham Sutherland, Sir Kyffin Williams.

If you hold any examples of prints or other Curwen material and would be interested in selling them, we would be particularly interested in hearing from you.

We will also from time to time feature examples from other important collectors of Curwen Prints.

In our News and Archive sections we will highlight important holdings of Curwen material, including features on interesting items held in the Cambridge University Archives and National Collections (Tate Britain).

We will be making available some items for resale, for example the important publication made to celebrate the first 40 years of Curwen – Forty Years in Print: The Curwen Studio and Royal Academicians. This is a special edition of just 350 copies with a signed and numbered lithograph cover by the celebrated artist Sir Peter Blake on handmade paper made in France...and of course printed at the Curwen Studio itself. The book itself is contained in solander box embossed with the name Curwen. Although completed in 2000, for a variety of legal reasons was never distributed at the time.  The book contains essays by Jenny Roland, Norman Ackroyd RA, Stanley Jones MBE and Bernard Dunstan RA. Beautifully illustrated with black and white photographs and featuring 41 artists represented by a work they undertook at Curwen. We now have some copies available, please see price and example in the Gallery (artists' books).
